Anders and Kathleen Skaar

Our Story

Christian Library International, now Prison Alliance, was founded in 1996 by Kathleen Skaar. She served as the Executive Director until her retirement after twenty-five years of leadership. Prison Alliance began with a focus on providing free Christian books to community centers, shelters, and missionary families. As the ministry grew, Prison Alliance shifted its focus to working with chaplains in correctional facilities to reach inmates with God’s Word.
